The semifinal game between Abingdon-Avon and Camp Point Central was all about capitalizing on opportunities.  The turnovers were only 13 to 12 for Central and Abingdon-Avon respectively, but Abingdon scored 20 points off of turnovers and Central only scored three.

The Tornadoes had a 25-13 lead at halftime and never trailed in the game.  They were led by Ryan Adolphson’s 12 points and seven rebounds.  Cayden Mahr and Calen Mahr each added eight points.  Abingdon-Avon shot 50% from the floor in the impressive win.

Camp Point Central trailed 14-6 at the end of the first quarter and was never able to fully recover.  The Panthers were led by Lane Ippensen’s 12 points on 5-for-10 shooting.

The Tornadoes won the rebound battle 22 to 8.

Abingdon-Avon advances to the championship game tonight at 9:30 p.m.  The last time they reached the championship was back in 2000, they were just "Abingdon", and they won the title against Pittsfield, 49-44.  Camp Point Central meets Illini Bluffs in the 3rd place game, which will be played at 8:00 p.m.
