the first since the tournament expanded
to 16 teams in 1969 to feature three
overtime games. Pittsfield played in all
three of those games. No team has played
more overtime tournament games than
Pittsfield. With the three they played in
2010, their total was pushed to eight.
Macomb is next with five overtime games.
Pittsfield
is 5-3 all-time in MWHT overtime games.
After five
years without appearing in a trophy game,
Pittsfield has captured back-to-back
trophies with a 5th place finish in 2009
and a 3rd place last year.
If
Pittsfield can make it to a trophy game,
they are nearly unstoppable as they are
an astonishing 20-2 (.909) in the trophy
round.
Their last
loss in a trophy-round game was to
Abingdon, 49-44, in the 2000 championship
game. That same year, Mike Fitch was
