Fourth seeded Farmington (11-2) came out firing in this game and never let up. The Farmers were ahead 12-6 after one quarter and 30-13 at the half. They used sound defense and clean passing (only nine turnovers) to take a big win over tournament first seed West Hancock (9-4) by a score of 61-30. Farmington reaches the Championship game for the first time since 1997. The big story here were the points in the paint, where Farmington dominated by a count of 40-12. In addition, the Farmers bench outscored the Rockets bench 26-6. West Hancock shot a meager 31% from the floor, compared to 56% for Farmington. Farmington was led in scoring by two double digit scorers (Ben Martin with 16 points and Corbin Rutledge with 14 points). Martin shot 6-7 (86%) from the floor and 3-3 from the free throw line. Martin also had a game-high with seven rebounds. Ty Anderson pulled down six boards. The Titans were led by Drake Hammel’s 10 points, six rebounds, and three blocks.
