| Coming into this game, Wethersfield’s Coltin Quagliano had the tournament high score with 32 points. He tied his own score from that game and his Flying Geese (9-4) sailed passed the Brown County Hornets (7-6) by a score of 61-40. The Hornets’ Nathan Hendricker finished with a double double of 13 points and 11 rebounds. Wethersfield pulled down an impressive 47 rebounds in this contest and won the battle on points off of turnovers by a count of 18-7. The Geese got out to a fast start and led 41-19 at halftime. The game’s second half was actually won by Brown County 21-20. The Geese were led by Quagliano’s 32 points and Brady Kelley’s 10 points. Tevin Baker grabbed 14 rebounds and Kelley added another seven. Quagliano also led Wethersfield in assists (four) and steals (three). Brown County’s Hornets had a leading score by Nathan Hendricker’s 13 points on 6-10 shooting. He also led the team with 11 rebounds. Wethersfield received the 5th place trophy in this, their first Macomb-Western Holiday Tournament appearance. Brown County’s solid showing allowed them to finish the tournament in 6th place.
